SUMMER ON THE PALENTINA MOUNTAIN
All July and August is the summer that touches us on this earth.
Not many days, but enough to see a different season than the rest of the year.
If we want to get closer to enjoying the summer in these lands, the weather may surprise us. Unlike in other places, the weather here is capricious and makes the temperature drop several degrees.
The sensation of heat goes to the background, the walks through the different places is very pleasant.
They are good dates to “take height” in the mountain that, now devoid of all its white mantle, lets us see every corner.

The most reticent alpine flora, hurries this season to make its annual cycle. Adult mammals teach their little ones of the year, the secrets of the field for when they have to become independent. The birds have already gotten their later offspring, and they are busy searching for food in the best areas, before the days are shorter and colder. Some already begin to “suspect” that soon have to undertake a long journey.
Mountains, forests, meadows, small villages, diverse corners … the new settlers teach us, that with their colors and cheerful songs, they accompany us for the different excursions, that will discover us those places.
No less rewarding, for what we will have to get up early, is the opportunity to see a new day born in the distance, in a mountain range, next to a remarkable tree, or in some of the hidden places that we can only access with vehicle.

– Departure from the accommodation before sunrise.
– Arrival at the observation point to see the sunrise. Excursion to know several notable trees existing in these forests.
– Return to accommodation around 13:00 h.
– Transport in 4×4 vehicle.
FULL DAY ROUTE
– Departure from the accommodation before sunrise.
– Arrival at the observation point to see the sunrise.
– Excursion to know several notable trees existing in these forests.
– Climb to Pamporquero, subalpine area to observe birds of this ecosystem and see some good views of the Palentina Mountain. Sandwich food in this place (not included).
– Return to accommodation around 6:00 p.m.
– Transport in 4×4 vehicle.
