WINTER ON THE PALENTINA MOUNTAIN
The different outings to be made will focus on snowshoeing, or without them, depending on the amount of snow, the low areas of the mountain, and the different forests of the Palentina Mountain.
Why come to Palentina Mountain, in winter? The feeling that you will have will be very different from that of any other season of the year in these latitudes.
We are facing a totally different landscape that we can observe the rest of the months, what can winter offer us?
There are no plants, few birds … it is cold, all this is compensated with other attractions that the rest of the year, we do not have and many others that go unnoticed, the snow covering everything, under a thick layer, offers us the possibility to enjoy a Absolute silence, only broken by the walk of our steps.
The forests, now rest after several active months. Strolling through them gives us a clear vision of how hard it is to live in these conditions.

The mountain, hit by the rigors of the climate, lives a similar situation. But not everything “sleeps” during the winter, birds that do not migrate to other latitudes, are present, as well as others that come to pass here, the traces we can see in the snow tell us that endless animals, especially carnivores, are active in the different corners of the park, the food resource is scarce and you have to travel a lot of space to find it, deer, roe deer, wild boar, fox, marten, marten, badger, wolf and as not the bear, live and travel this white landscape.
