We will have the opportunity to see you in freedom thanks to two sunrises and two sunsets in which we will come to your waiting.
Newly arrived and informed of the activities to be carried out during the weekend, binoculars and telescopes in hand … we will go out to the first wait to try to see them, we will also be presented with the opportunity to meet in their wild state deer, roe deer, wild boar and foxes, in addition to numerous forest birds that share habitat with the wolves.
The next morning to get up early to step on land of wolves … in this same route we will learn to identify traces, excrements and traces not only of our wolf friend, but also of hares, jinetas, bears, wild cats, martens or squirrels

We continue to deepen our knowledge of the wolf and its habitat.
We will cross the forests of pine groves, oak groves and chestnut groves which enjoy great biodiversity and thus we will know different aspects of the natural environment of this territory.
We will have the opportunity to know the badger footprints, the stags of the roe deer in its path, the traditional use of the “urces” (local name of the heather), the birds of the pine forests or the recent history of the Sierra de La Culebra, are some of the many contents that are included during this complete itinerary.
We will also study and compare the skulls of a wolf and a dog, to learn how to distinguish them.
The wolf skin offers us numerous information regarding the adaptations and characteristics of these animals, the types of hairs or teeth, so it will be another subject.
At the last minute, taking advantage of the fact that the great fauna returns to its nocturnal activity, we try a new observation of the wolf. The knowledge of their customs and the use of their territory of these animals is an important advantage that favors their observation.
At dawn of the third day, we started a new day in the field, enjoying again the many natural elements that this territory offers us. Another opportunity to observe and learn about the fauna of the northwest of Zamora.
After the wait, we delved into the lobera culture, studying a collection of carlancas, locally known as carrancas: collars traditionally used to protect the neck of the mastiffs, from the teeth of the wolf.
The philosophy for the development of this activity follows several principles:
A deep knowledge of the ecology of the wolf and prioritize at all times its welfare to observation (using distances of several kilometers to the areas of reproduction). In addition, dissemination and environmental education as well as the experience and training of the guides (biologists) are used as tools.
