INCE

Firm: Concrete, grass path and stretches of earth and mud (depending on the season)

Ince is the name that receives the fruit of the oak in Carranza. At the foot of Mount Armañón, the very center of the natural park that it baptizes, the Sopeña oak grove extends. This is an atypical forest of our latitudes, molded, as almost all the territory, by livestock. It is the only Cantabrian holm oak grove, one of the jewels of the Armañón Natural Park. On the way we will skirt the oak grove, leaning out from the limestone outcrop that shelters it from the North, enjoying a splendid view of the valley. Once inside the oak grove, we will find ourselves in a world of oaks and rocks, where the moss takes over every corner. The tour can be done at any time of the year, if we do not mind getting muddy. Although it is a long route, it is not physically demanding.
