MY ADVENTURES
“Yesterday I went to the Natural Park of Saja-Besaya, I confess that with the illusion of lying down listening to the deer. As is known, nature is capricious and almost always surprises for good, so it was nonsense to plan such an illusion. It was raining with desire and without wanting to stop … as I usually say when it rains like this … “towards a day Cabuérnigo” …. For those who do not know it Cabuérniga is a valley in the western part of Cantabria, where, among other wonders, deciduous forests abound. Before arriving I made the obligatory stop at the inn where I usually say goodbye to humanity, I ordered a beer and sat down to read my Quercus. After a while, Miera and I looked at each other and headed towards paradise. In just a hundred meters of walking, a squirrel of the color of the iceberg came out to receive us. When it dried up, it ran in the same direction as we wanted to indicate which was the right path. Shortly after and just saved a curve we find the placidity of some goats eating along the roadside, the reaction of these to see us was the sample of who was there the stranger … they continued their doing offering me total abandonment. Once I entered the forest I wished that time would not pass and I felt part of it. Later on, the wooded area opened to an open spot, the fog and the already imminent night reminded me that I was walking in wolf lands, this made me harbor another new illusion … In that thought I stopped to hear something far from the deer, I did not surrender to my binoculars and I wanted to enjoy the moment just listening and so I remedied my screaming anxieties ….
We continued the march stumbling with other good companies, like the five crows perched on a stake near a cabin, seemed to expect to see me take out the camera to leave laughing in its flight, that slow and dense flight that was made even more beautiful by the brightness that the rain gave its jet black plumage.
The fog accompanied us to the top of Palombera and in that same height we slept under the shelter that gives the 4 degrees of this wonderful place, I do not remember having felt cold …. Perhaps because of the emotions experienced … “
