BALD IBIS – ONE OF THE MOST ENDANGERED SPECIES OF BIRDS
The entire, worldwide population of Bald Ibis is probably no more than 600-700 birds. Most of those concentrate in the Souss-Massa National Park (Morocco).
Due to the critical conservation state of its population, the Andalusia Regional Government and ZOO-Botanic of Jerez conducted a reintroduction project that has had a lot of success. Nowadays in Cádiz, we are lucky to be able to regularly and easily observe a fairly large group of Bald Ibis. Currently, there are almost 100 individuals reproducing freely, in the wild, in Cádiz. Cadiz Birding offers you the opportunity to see and photograph this extremely rare species in unexpected ways.
