BOTANICAL GARDEN OF GIJÓN
It is not an amera collection of plants, they are about reproducing natural ecosystems that we can find on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
Located in the urban area of Gijón, in a privileged natural enclave, it is the first of the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula and the only one of these characteristics in our environment; It is a space specializing in the flora and vegetation of the Atlantic territories, on both sides of the ocean.
A space of 16 hectares designed to house more than 30,000 plants and up to 2,000 different species, with a unique content of museography that make this Garden a spectacular museum of exhibition and dissemination, where nature is art.
The Atlantic Botanical Garden with an approximate surface of 25 hectares takes advantage of the centennial Carbayera del Tragamón and the facilities of the La Isla estate, former property of industrial Florencio Valdés.
